General FAQs

What are the dimensions of the banner?

4'h x 8'w feet

What material is the banner made from?  Can they be hung inside or outside?

Both the indoor and outdoor banners are vinyl.  The only difference is that we make our indoor banners out of a lighter vinyl (8oz) so they are easier to hang on a gym wall. Our outdoor banners are made from a heavier vinyl (13oz) so that they can withstand elements.  All banners have grommets in all four corners for easy hanging.

Coach FAQs

What is the average time it takes from start to finish for a fundraiser?

You can start your fundraiser the same day you sign up.  We suggest giving your team one week to sell sponsorships.  Once we have received all sponsor logos and your team photo we will email a design proof of your banner within 72 hours.  After you have approved the banner design, you will receive your banner and check within 5-7 business days.

Who secures the sponsors?

We provide you with all the promotional materials you need to spread the word about sponsorship opportunities, including a template email, sponsor flyer and sample social media post.  All the promotional materials will direct sponsors to TeamUpBanners.com. At this point, sponsors will choose your team, identify the individual player they are sponsoring (optional) and pay their sponsorship fee.

Most coaches will ask all team members to sell at least one sponsorship.  We have found selling one sponsorship is an attainable goal for each individual team member.  Many coaches will also send a communication out to program supporters including former players, parents and engaged community members.

Are there a minimum number of sponsorships that must be sold?

The first $300 raised covers the banner design, print and shipping fee.  Your team will receive 85% of all funds raised beyond the first $300.

How much will my team make by doing this fundraiser?

The first $300 raised covers the banner design, print and shipping fee.  Some teams choose to use the Team Up platform to simply raise enough to receive a free team banner.  Other teams choose to use our platform to raise thousands of dollars for their program.

Summary:

First $300 covers the banner, your team receives 85% of all funds raised beyond the first $300. Sponsors can choose from a $300 large logo sponsorship, $200 medium size logo sponsorship or $100 Patron sponsorship (name listed on banner).

Examples:

1 Large Logo Sponsor  = Custom Team Banner
5 Large Logo Sponsors = Custom Team Banner + $984 for your team
5 Large Logo, 5 Medium Logo and 5 Patron Sponsors = Custom Team Banner +$2,295 for your team
10 Large Logo, 10 Medium Logo and 10 Patron Sponsors = Custom Team Banner + $4,845 for your team

What type of file and what resolution does the team picture need to be?

Accepted file types:

JPEG (high resolution), PNG, AI, EPS, TIF (high resolution), PDF

There are two options to choose from for your team banner.  You can choose to have each individual photographed and then cropped into the team banner or you can take a more traditional approach and take one photo of the entire team. There are examples of each approach below.  Both are popular options so it really just comes down to personal preference.

Camera Setup (to ensure highest quality banners):

Individual Shots (photos of each player will be cropped to create a team banner)

Example:

  • Select the largest file size on camera.
  • Photograph each subject in the same location and from the same distance.
  • Photograph subjects in front of a solid colored, clean background (ex. a wall).
  • Make sure the light source is in front of subject as opposed to behind them.
  • Have everyone stand. Kneeling does not look as good.
  • Have some players facing slightly left and others facing slightly right. Mix it up.
  • Use as much available space as possible on subjects (avoid excess background).

Team Shots (when the entire team is photographed together)

Example:

  • Select the largest file size on camera.
  • Photograph the team in front of a solid colored, clean background (ex. a wall) or if you prefer you can pick a background you would like us to use in the design (ex. home stadium or gym).
  • Make sure the light source is in front of the team as opposed to behind.
  • Use as much available space as possible on the team (avoid excess background).

Is there an artwork design fee?

The first $300 raised covers banner design, print and shipping fees.

Can we include additional images/messaging on our banner other than the team photo?

Yes, we are more than happy to include team schedules, mantras, mascots, etc. Please be sure to include a message about this in the “additional information” text box when you sign up.  Then email Support@TeamUpBanners.com with the files you would like us to use and your team photo.
